Street Brew Coffee is an easy to miss coffee shop in a busy stretch near Shea Blvd in Scottsdale serving organic single origin beans from the Roastery of Cave Creek.
The beans are a single origin Nicaragua. Completely organic. They pull shots on a Synesso MVP Hydra which is a serious commercial machine. For those who want to slow things down the menu also features manual brewing methods like pour over and Aeropress. Three of their syrup flavors (brown sugar, vanilla and lavender) are made in house. The rest are commercial.
I tried the Sticky Situation from their May menu. It was creamy and well balanced. Not too sweet. The vanilla and caramel came together really nicely. They also have high quality matcha options that can be customized with sugar or agave if matcha is more your thing.
The interior has a striking black and white look anchored by a large "Life Begins After Coffee" mural on the wall. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The staff is friendly and clearly enjoys being there which always makes a difference.
Street Brew is not flashy. It does not need to be. Organic beans from a local roaster, house made syrups, a Synesso on the bar and a team that actually cares about the cup. Scottsdale has plenty of coffee shops. This is one of the ones worth finding.
