Paris Baguette is not the kind of place I typically feature on a craft coffee site. But the pastry case at the N. Scottsdale Rd. location nearl Kierland stopped me in my tracks and I decided to make an exception. Some things just earn their way onto the list.

This location pulls a lively crowd and for good reason. The pastry and sandwich case here is a serious operation. Croissants, fruit and custard pastries, sweet buns and more, all lined up and asking for your attention. The best move is to grab a latte from the Lavazza-powered espresso bar and just wander the case until something speaks to you. Something will speak to you.

The coffee is traditional Italian-leaning, smooth and low acidity. It is built for pairing with something sweet rather than standing alone as a single-origin showcase. In this context that is exactly right. A cappuccino and a fruit pastry in a stylish room with good energy around you is a perfectly solid way to spend part of your day.

The Scottsdale location hums with foot traffic and has a lively browsable energy that makes it fun just to be in. Not every visit needs to be a quiet work session. Sometimes you just want something delicious in a nice room. Paris Baguette on Scottsdale Rd delivers that every time.
