Garage-East

Garage-East is a winery that decided to get into coffee. It sits inside Barnone at the heart of Gilbert's Agritopia community. This is a working farm village on Ray Road where the Johnston family has farmed for generations. The main act is wine. It is an Arizona Farm Winery, a tasting room and a wine bar that pours about a dozen of its own wines by the glass and by the bottle. The coffee bar and the scratch kitchen are the newer additions and they are the reason I am here.

The Vibe
- A farm village setting, not a strip mall. You walk in from the Agritopia grounds, past the community gardens, into a converted 1950s Quonset hut
- Indoor seating plus a big outdoor patio with fire pits and Adirondack chairs. Blankets on the patio in the cooler months
- Relaxed and easy.
- Live music on Friday and Saturday nights and on Saturday mornings during coffee service
- Family friendly before 5pm. After 5pm it shifts to a 13 and older policy

The Coffee Program
- The beans come from Provision Coffee, a Phoenix roaster.
- The coffee bar runs from 6am on weekdays and 7am on weekends, closing around 2pm

The Food
- A scratch kitchen runs breakfast until 11am daily
- The pastries and baked goods are available all day, with special orders from the bakery including take and bakes
- The food leans local. Noble sourdough, Barrio bagels, Agritopia Farm greens, Crow's Dairy goat cheese, Frites Street roasted potatoes
