Bang Bang Coffee

Bang Bang Coffee occupies a quiet cul-de-sac pocket park in the Willo Historic District, in a space an earlier coffee bar left behind when it closed. The tagline reads "Family owned. Locally brewed." and the way regulars talk about the place suggests that is operational fact rather than marketing copy. It took Phoenix New Times Best New Coffeehouse in 2024.

The Vibe
- The order counter is a walk-up window with no indoor seating. The seating is a mostly shaded courtyard with benches and picnic tables, dog friendly and full by mid morning.
- Community posture with receipts: a water jug on the curb year round, quarterly charity donations from merch sales, live jazz at the two year anniversary.

The Coffee Program
- Flavor led rather than third wave. Eight signature lattes are named for Twin Peaks characters (Log Lady, Black Lodge, Laura's Latte, Woodsman), alongside a Laura Palmer black tea and lemonade.
- Drip is a dark roast leaning coffee. The cold brew is made in house along with extras like a berry cold foam and a peanut butter sauce.
- They have a matcha program.

The Baking
- Belgian waffles are scratch made in house, a recipe inherited from the space's previous tenant.
- Bagels come from Bagelfeld's. Pastries rotate in from Chaconne Patisserie, the shop of chef Mark Chacon.
