Yellow Spruce Roasters is a cozy coffee and wine bar located in Scottsdale. The shop uses locally roasted coffee from a veteran-owned business. It offers a menu of standard espresso drinks, gelato, and pastries. The venue also features a wine list and has become popular for its espresso martinis. Yellow Spruce is actively involved in the community, partnering with local nonprofit organizations.

Red Canyon Cafe is a small and intimate spot tucked into Old Town Scottsdale with an interior that feels like someone merged an Arizona trading post with a modern coffee bar. Reclaimed wood planks cover the accent wall in varying shades of brown. Desert themed art fills the gaps. Dark wood tables sit next to gunmetal gray bistro chairs. Outside, heavy timber pillars and black metal patio furniture give it an Old West feel that fits right into the Old Town neighborhood. The seating is limited but that is what makes the place feel cozy.
The espresso comes from Alchemy Roast in MesaΒ and the house bean is the Red Canyon, a single origin from the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala roasted just above medium. I had a straight shot. Smooth and lightly chocolaty with no bitterness. It leans darker than my personal preference but it is a well made cup and the La Marzocco Linea behind the counter means the extraction is in good hands.
The crepes looked incredible, for what it is worth. I was not hungry but I am already thinking about going back for that reason alone.
If you are exploring Old Town Scottsdale and need a quick stop for a solid espresso drink in a space that actually has some character, Red Canyon Cafe is worth ducking into.

Honestly, I almost did not review this one. Arcadia Farms Marketplace in Old Town Scottsdale is known as a bakery and French inspired cafe and I was not sure a place like this needs to be included on this website. I went in with low expectations and left thinking about the coffee for days. Lesson learned.
The space has been around since 1990 and it shows in the best possible way. It feels like a French country storybook that somehow landed in Scottsdale. Community farm tables, curated kitchenware, artisanal home decor and specialty cookbooks share the room with a full bakery case loaded with fresh pastries, signature cakes and quiche. There is also a shaded outdoor patio if you want to sit outside. It is charming in a way that feels completely unforced.
The coffee bar runs two roasters. Espresso drinks are made with organic Miscela d'Oro beans, a Sicilian roaster that has been operating out of Messina since 1946. Drip and cold brew feature ROC2 from the Roastery of Cave Creek, an acclaimed local roaster that has earned its reputation in the Valley many times over.
I had the hot latte made with the Miscela d'Oro beans and it stopped me in my tracks. Smooth, creamy, balanced and genuinely delicious. The kind of cup that makes you pull out your phone and look up the roaster before you even finish the drink. And here is what makes Miscela interesting. While most of the specialty shops on this website chase single origin beans to highlight specific farm characteristics, Miscela has spent nearly 80 years doing the opposite. They blend Arabica beans (and occasionally Robusta) using a complex proprietary recipe refined over decades to create what I can only describe as a consistent flavor symphony. No surprises. No sharp edges. Just an incredibly refined and repeatable cup that is the result of generations of craft. I walked out wanting to order their beans for my own espresso machine at home. That is the highest compliment I know how to give.
The food all looked incredible but I was too full to eat. Noble Bread supplies the bread for their sandwiches and if you know Noble Bread (and you should) that alone tells you the kitchen takes its sourcing seriously. I will be going back specifically to put the food menu to the test.
Arcadia Farms Marketplace is not the kind of place I usually cover on azcoffeeshops.com. I am very happy that I did.

Your first reaction to Capital One Cafe is probably "wait, a bank serving coffee?" Yeah, that's what everyone thinks. But here is why it actually works. They partnered with Verve Coffee Roasters (a serious specialty roaster) and they are not treating this like an afterthought. The pour-over bar features rotating single origin selections like Costa Rica Esperanza & Ethiopia Guji Highlands so they're genuinely committed to coffee craft.
This is honestly one of those spots where every time I am in the area, I make it a point to stop by. The space itself is perfect if you're working or meeting friends. Lots of seating and plenty of outlets (which honestly is rarer than it should be at coffee shops). Free WiFi that actually works and the environment feels more like a coworking lounge than a bank. Two private meeting pods are available to reserve via the Capital One app if you need quiet focus time or to take calls. It is clean, not packed and genuinely comfortable.
Drink wise, order the white mocha or the hibiscus iced tea shaker. Their seasonal menu rotates and actually feels thoughtful. The avocado toast is excellent and is arguably some of the best in Scottsdale. They also have pastries and light food options to keep you satisfied while you work or hang out.
The biggest perk is that Capital One cardholders get half price off drinks! You're looking at cappuccinos for basically nothing. They also occasionally throw free swag at the cafe. If you are not a cardholder, the drinks are priced normally but still solid quality for what you're getting.
Location note: It's inside Scottsdale Fashion Square near the Apple store with ample parking. Here's the good part though, there is a direct door to the outside, so you don't have to walk through the mall if you don't want to. The nearest restrooms are by Harkins theater upstairs, which is a minor walk. The cafe itself will not win any awards for Instagram aesthetics, but thats actually fine. It means the focus is on functionality and comfort, not looking pretty for photos.
Quality specialty coffee, free WiFi, and half-price drinks for cardholders. That's the Capital One Cafe equation.

Sip Coffee and Beer in Old Town Scottsdale is that rare place where a single room can hold laptops, first dates and live music without feeling confused. The space feels like a cozy living room. Warm wood, bar tops and just enough buzz from Goldwater Boulevard outside to remind you that you are in the middle of things.
I like it best in the morning when the line is a mix of regulars and visitors trying to decode the menu. The coffee program is legit. You can keep it simple with a strong drip or lean into signature drinks like the Bananas Foster Latte. The Lion's mane latte is excellent too if you're into the mushroom stuff.
I also heard good things about the iced coconut matcha latte from people whose coffee opinions I trust and go to Sip more than I do. I have not tried it yet. Maybe next time.
Food is not an afterthought here. Breakfast burritos, avocado toast and sandwiches land in that sweet spot where you can camp with your laptop for hours and not regret what you ordered. When the weather cooperates, the patio out front is a genuinely nice option. Good people watching territory with that Goldwater energy right there.
As the day stretches, the bar quietly takes over. Taps kick in, cocktails start showing up, and by the time a band sets up in the corner, the room tilts from coffee shop to neighborhood bar without losing its chill.
Sip just works... Morning, afternoon, or evening. The place finds a way to fit whatever you need from it. That is harder to pull off than it looks.

Old Town Scottsdale has a very specific energy. It is polished, walkable and a little aspirational. Press Coffee at the Waterfront fits right in.
The location sits inside the Scottsdale Waterfront shopping center on Camelback, and it carries that address well. The space is sleek and modern. The patio is shaded and pet friendly which is perfect for those hot summer days. Inside or outside, the place feels open and comfortable.
This is not the location you go to when you need to disappear into a laptop for four hours. It is the location you drop into between errands, during a shopping break or when you want a coffee that feels like part of a larger afternoon out. The menu covers the full Press range: coffee, tea, pastries and kitchen food like wraps, salads and small bites. Enough to fuel a proper outing.
The coffee is what you expect from Press. Consistent well executed and reliable. If you have been to any other Press locations then you already know what you are getting in the cup. What changes here is the context. Sipping an espresso on that patio while the foot traffic of Old Town moves around you is a different experience than sitting in a strip mall office park like the Press Raintree location. The setting does really work here.
Waterfront is social Press. It is the version of this brand that leans into Scottsdale's personality rather than hiding from it. If your afternoon already has plans, this is a great place to build coffee into them.

Old Town Scottsdale has no shortage of places to spend a Sunday afternoon. But there is only one where you might park next to a vintage Porsche, wait in a line that wraps around the building and sip an espresso under a massive shade tree while someone photographs an exotic car twenty feet away. Fourtillfour Cafe is that place and it is unlike anything else in the Valley.
The shop is small and there is no indoor seating. Everything happens outside on a patio that somehow pulls it off beautifully. Car themed decor sets the tone without feeling like a gimmick. The vibe is warm and welcoming in the way that only a place with genuine personality can be. If you get lucky and snag the table under the big tree on the right side next to the old parked car, you have found the best seat in the house. Plenty of shade and a front row view of whatever rolls in that day.
One suggestion though. That attached garage sitting right there is wasted potential. Arizona summers are brutal and the Valley heat is not a joke. Opening that space up with some air conditioning would transform this place from a cool spot you avoid in July into a year round destination. Just saying.
The coffee is the real thing. Fourtillfour roasts their own beans in house and pulls espresso from their Sunday Motor Club blend, a mix of Honduran and Ethiopian beans. I tried a straight shot and it was smooth and naturally sweet with no bitterness anywhere. My instinct, based on experience with Ethiopian beans, is that the blend leans more Ethiopian than Honduran. That is pure speculation on my part but the floral sweetness in the cup felt very familiar. The house made syrups are worth exploring too. Bergamot and chile honey are on the list and either one tells you this is not your average cafe syrup program.
The Cars and Coffee events happen almost every Saturday morning from 8AM to 10AM. Check their website for the current schedule because it is worth planning around. They also run a car club and from what I can tell it seems like a way to build a community of enthusiasts around specific makes and models, possibly used to organize themed events. The details are a little unclear but the online form is on their website if you want in.
Fourtillfour built a community around coffee, cars and the atmosphere. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon when I visited with the line stretching outside. That is not an accident.
