La La Land Kind Cafe is a Dallas born coffee company and it arrived in Arizona the way viral things tend to arrive: loudly. The Kierland Commons location opened in early January 2026 and the lines wrapped around the block on day one. That kind of opening does not happen by accident.
The space is airy and modern with large chandeliers, an expansive stone bar and neutral tones that get interrupted by yellow everywhere. Yellow cups, yellow flowers in the patio planters, yellow branding on the walls. It is engineered to be photographed and it works. You will see phones out constantly.
The drink menu leans sweet. The Banana Cloud Latte has become the signature and fans describe it with the kind of enthusiasm usually reserved for life events. The Strawberry Cloud Latte and the Upside-Down Latte (vanilla, caramel drizzle, espresso or matcha) round out the must try list. The matcha program is serious enough that plenty of regulars skip the espresso entirely. Food comes from the acclaimed french bakery JL Patisserie, which is a very good sign.
The other thing La La Land is known for is its mission. The brand hires and mentors young adults aging out of foster care through a formal paid internship program. Staff shout "Love you!" on your way out. It sounds like a lot but somehow it lands.
Is it the deepest coffee program in Scottsdale? No. But it is a genuinely fun experience and the drinks are better than the hype machine would have you expect.

Firefly Organic Coffee & Market in Scottsdale has a menu built around one simple idea: clean ingredients. It sits right off the 101 at Pima Center, and it feels like a small organic coffee bar collided with a health focused pantry in the best possible way.
The coffee program runs on beans from Momentto Coffee Roasters. It is a roaster invested in sustainable, low acidity and mycotoxin free coffee. These beans will prevent the "post-cup regret" and your gut will thank you. The espresso blend (called Espresso Forte) is medium bodied and smooth. Organic milk throughout. The menu is focused. Espresso, americanos, cappuccinos, lattes. No sprawl, no gimmicks. If you are usually the person quietly hoping the shop you walked into uses decent milk, Firefly is going to feel like a relief.
Then there is the Firefly Glow Latte. Espresso, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, sea salt and a collagen boost thrown in for good measure. It is their most popular drink and I can see why people love it. Personally, I found it to be a lot of things happening at once (the cinnamon is not shy and apparently there are 8 grams of protein quietly lurking in there). Whether that sounds incredible or mildly chaotic probably tells you everything you need to know about whether it is your drink. Either way, it is fun and it is theirs.
The market side is what makes Firefly genuinely hard to categorize. Raw cow milk in glass bottles. Eggs. Grass fed beef from Arizona producers. Jars of local raw honey. It is not a full grocery store. The selection is focused and carefully chosen. What makes it different from the coffee counter inside your local Fry's is that this is a coffee shop first. A real one. Run by real people. On my visit, Ashley (who co-owns the place and is also known for her work with Jigsaw Health, a wellness and supplement company) was behind the bar making drinks herself. The product mix looks like it was curated by someone who actually uses everything on the shelf. The health culture thread runs through the whole place without ever feeling preachy.
This is not an Old Town stroll in flip flops kind of spot. Firefly lives in a business complex at Pima Center right off the freeway. For some people, the narrower menu, limited hours and single location in a business park will be a downside. For others, especially anyone trying to keep their food and drink on the cleaner side, that is exactly the appeal. If you want a well made organic latte and the ability to walk out with raw milk and real pantry staples in the same trip, Firefly is absolutely worth a visit.

The owners and their staff are some of the kindest people you will meet, and their dedication is reflected in an artfully crafted menu of classic espresso drinks and unique seasonal specials made with ingredients like house made syrups. Arcadia Farms Marketplace in Old Town Scottsdale is a quaint French-inspired cafe and boutique known for its charming atmosphere and beautiful patio. The marketplace features an extensive in-house bakery with a wide selection of fresh pastries, signature cakes, and quiche. In addition to its baked goods, the cafe serves a full menu of warm and cold sandwiches and salads, alongside a coffee bar featuring beans from a local roaster. The coffee bar serves a traditional menu of espresso drinks using Italian Miscela D'oro beans. Drip and cold brew options are also available, featuring coffee sourced from the local Roastery of Cave Creek.

Your first reaction to Capital One Cafe is probably "wait, a bank serving coffee?" Yeah, that's what everyone thinks. But here is why it actually works. They partnered with Verve Coffee Roasters (a serious specialty roaster) and they are not treating this like an afterthought. The pour-over bar features rotating single origin selections like Costa Rica Esperanza & Ethiopia Guji Highlands so they're genuinely committed to coffee craft.
This is honestly one of those spots where every time I am in the area, I make it a point to stop by. The space itself is perfect if you're working or meeting friends. Lots of seating and plenty of outlets (which honestly is rarer than it should be at coffee shops). Free WiFi that actually works and the environment feels more like a coworking lounge than a bank. Two private meeting pods are available to reserve via the Capital One app if you need quiet focus time or to take calls. It is clean, not packed and genuinely comfortable.
Drink wise, order the white mocha or the hibiscus iced tea shaker. Their seasonal menu rotates and actually feels thoughtful. The avocado toast is excellent and is arguably some of the best in Scottsdale. They also have pastries and light food options to keep you satisfied while you work or hang out.
The biggest perk is that Capital One cardholders get half price off drinks! You're looking at cappuccinos for basically nothing. They also occasionally throw free swag at the cafe. If you are not a cardholder, the drinks are priced normally but still solid quality for what you're getting.
Location note: It's inside Scottsdale Fashion Square near the Apple store with ample parking. Here's the good part though, there is a direct door to the outside, so you don't have to walk through the mall if you don't want to. The nearest restrooms are by Harkins theater upstairs, which is a minor walk. The cafe itself will not win any awards for Instagram aesthetics, but thats actually fine. It means the focus is on functionality and comfort, not looking pretty for photos.
Quality specialty coffee, free WiFi, and half-price drinks for cardholders. That's the Capital One Cafe equation.

Paris Baguette is not the kind of place I typically feature on a craft coffee site. But the pastry case at the N. Scottsdale Rd. location nearl Kierland stopped me in my tracks and I decided to make an exception. Some things just earn their way onto the list.
This location pulls a lively crowd and for good reason. The pastry and sandwich case here is a serious operation. Croissants, fruit and custard pastries, sweet buns and more, all lined up and asking for your attention. The best move is to grab a latte from the Lavazza-powered espresso bar and just wander the case until something speaks to you. Something will speak to you.
The coffee is traditional Italian-leaning, smooth and low acidity. It is built for pairing with something sweet rather than standing alone as a single-origin showcase. In this context that is exactly right. A cappuccino and a fruit pastry in a stylish room with good energy around you is a perfectly solid way to spend part of your day.
The Scottsdale location hums with foot traffic and has a lively browsable energy that makes it fun just to be in. Not every visit needs to be a quiet work session. Sometimes you just want something delicious in a nice room. Paris Baguette on Scottsdale Rd delivers that every time.

You've just found Scottsdale's BEST kept pastry secret! How does a coffee shop tucked inside a Kierland corporate building manage to feel more luxurious than most standalone cafes? LUX Max Annex answers that question the moment you step through its dedicated corner entrance. This is not your typical office building coffee stop. This is a carefully crafted escape that somehow transforms corporate anonymity into something unexpectedly intimate and refined.
The space itself defies expectations. Dark interiors create a moody atmosphere softened by gorgeous light fixtures throughout (even the ceiling lamp in the bathroom deserves attention). Canvas paintings and beautiful artwork line the walls. The result is a trendy hideaway that feels like an insider secret. Despite the Saturday late morning crowd, noise levels stay surprisingly low. The seating invites you to settle in with plush comfort. Soft music plays in the background without demanding attention.
LUX Max takes their coffee seriously. They roast their beans at their Central Ave. location. The Guatemala single origin beans powers their pour-overs and slow bar offerings... I know what your thinking but hear me out, while pour over is limited to one bean choice (at the time of this review), having a slow bar option at all is refreshing when most shops cut them out completely and only focus on volume serving! Everything else (espresso drinks included) gets crafted from their own house blend. The result is consistently excellent coffee that earns high marks.
The pastries here are truly world class. Pastry chef Katie makes everything fresh daily on-site. Desserts are clearly a big thing here. You will see lots of people settling down to enjoy the muffins and other baked goods. Croissants arrive flaky and buttery. Scones and coffee cake are incredible. For something more substantial, breakfast burritos and lunch sandwiches provide satisfying options.
Seating options spread generously throughout. Cozy indoor nooks invite you to settle in. A long table accommodates laptop workers who need space. Two outdoor areas provide plenty of room to enjoy your coffee outside when weather permits. The outdoor patio setup gives you options whether you want sun or shade.
Practical touches add convenience. Several EV Blink charging stations sit in the parking lot with dedicated spaces. You can charge while you caffeinate. The location makes it easy to drop in without the usual coffee shop parking struggles.
LUX Max Annex proves that great coffee culture can thrive anywhere (even on corporate ground). The attention to detail in everything from bean sourcing to decor creates an experience that feels special without trying too hard. This place should not work as well as it does. But somehow the combination of quality coffee, inviting atmosphere, and unexpected luxury hits perfectly.

Berdena's is one of those places that just makes sense where it is. It sits in the 5th Avenue Shops in Old Town Scottsdale, right in the middle of galleries and boutiques and the kind of streets you actually want to walk around. Getting a coffee here is only half the point. The other half is everything around it.
Jonathan Madrigal opened Berdena's in 2017 after moving to the U.S. from Costa Rica. The shop is bright and airy inside with floral wallpaper, Parisian-style tiling and a baby blue Synesso espresso machine that somehow ties the whole room together. Seating is limited and fills up fast on weekends so if the weather is cooperating, grab a spot on the pet-friendly outdoor patio.
Berdena's runs a multi-roaster program rotating beans from places like Ritual Coffee out of San Francisco and Morgon Coffee Roasters from Sweden. The lineup changes, so there is always a reason to come back. If you want something beyond a straight espresso drink, the Honey Lavender and Cardamom Rose lattes are made with house syrups and worth trying.
The food is no afterthought either. The avocado toast has picked up "Best of Phoenix" recognition and the breakfast sandwich is a legitimate local favorite. If you are in Old Town and skipping breakfast here, you are making a mistake.
Berdena's has been around since 2017 and the following it has built is well earned. It is the kind of neighborhood coffee shop that Old Town Scottsdale is lucky to have.

Located in the beautiful courtyard of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Heavenly Coffee House is a charming cafe specializing in traditional Greek coffee and homemade pastries. The menu features a wide array of authentic Greek sweets like baklava and kataifi, alongside savory, from-scratch items from "Yiayia's Kitchen." In addition to classic espresso drinks pulled on a beautiful Nuova Simonelli Aurelia II, the shop offers unique Greek coffee preparations. The outdoor seating area is perfect for relaxing and enjoying your drink or dessert.

Sip Coffee and Beer in Old Town Scottsdale is that rare place where a single room can hold laptops, first dates and live music without feeling confused. The space feels like a cozy living room. Warm wood, bar tops and just enough buzz from Goldwater Boulevard outside to remind you that you are in the middle of things.
I like it best in the morning when the line is a mix of regulars and visitors trying to decode the menu. The coffee program is legit. You can keep it simple with a strong drip or lean into signature drinks like the Bananas Foster Latte. The Lion's mane latte is excellent too if you're into the mushroom stuff.
I also heard good things about the iced coconut matcha latte from people whose coffee opinions I trust and go to Sip more than I do. I have not tried it yet. Maybe next time.
Food is not an afterthought here. Breakfast burritos, avocado toast and sandwiches land in that sweet spot where you can camp with your laptop for hours and not regret what you ordered. When the weather cooperates, the patio out front is a genuinely nice option. Good people watching territory with that Goldwater energy right there.
As the day stretches, the bar quietly takes over. Taps kick in, cocktails start showing up, and by the time a band sets up in the corner, the room tilts from coffee shop to neighborhood bar without losing its chill.
Sip just works... Morning, afternoon, or evening. The place finds a way to fit whatever you need from it. That is harder to pull off than it looks.
