How does a pop-up coffee stand at farmers markets transform into one of Tucson's most buzzed-about brick-and-mortar cafes? Harley's Coffee Co. officially opened in downtown Tucson in July 2025 after years of building a loyal following through pop-up markets and events. Owner Amanda Arvizu finally "parked" her dream in a permanent location, and the result is a cafe that feels both personal and welcoming.
The name honors Amanda's late father and his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle. This is not just another trendy coffee shop chasing Instagram aesthetics. It is a tribute and a passion project rolled into one.
The space has NYC-esque vibes with large open windows flooding the interior with natural light. Modern moody industrial decor creates a cozy atmosphere without feeling pretentious. Plenty of tables make it ideal for remote work or studying.
Harley's sources beans from a mission driven and veteran owned specialty roaster Blessed Grounds which I also reviewed on this site.
The cafe de olla is a standout signature drink that multiple reviewers called the best they have ever had. The banana milk latte hits a perfect sweetness level without being cloying. The matcha is whisked traditionally with a bamboo whisk, resulting in a smooth drink with no clumps. The summer seasonal menu gets creative. The Watermelon Lime refresher with a Tajin chamoy rim is fizzy, tangy, and refreshing. The Coconut Cream Cold Brew offers creamy banana milk with your choice of espresso or matcha. The Pom Raspberry Red Bull gives you tart fruity energy.
Pastries come from local Tucson bakeries like Sugar Momma (vegan conchas in multiple colors). They also offer charcuterie kits and other snacks if you need more than a coffee and pastry combo.
Harley's Coffee Co. emphasizes community building through coffee. Amanda created this business with that explicit mission, and it shows in the atmosphere and customer interactions. After almost two years of pop-ups, she built a permanent space that feels inviting and genuine. If you want solid coffee in a cozy downtown Tucson spot that supports local roasters and bakers, Harley's delivers.
