Can a Coffee Shop Attached to a Church in Suburban Peoria Really Compete with the Best Cafes in the Valley? Well Coffee opened back in 2019 and serves Peixoto coffee beans exclusively. If you know Peixoto Coffee Roasters, you already know this is going to be good. The Honey Lavender Latte is their signature drink and it lives up to the hype. The lavender is subtle. The honey is local from Honey Hive Farms. The espresso underneath is clean and smooth. It comes on a matte black tray with sparkling water which feels fancy for suburban Peoria but also totally fits.
The menu has all the standards such as cortados, cappuccinos, cold brew, nitro. But if you want to get serious they have a pour-over bar with V60 and Chemex options featuring different single origin beans. The space is deceptively big. From the front it looks small and cozy, but it opens up into this larger area with high ceilings, big windows, and tons of natural light. Plenty of outlets and WiFi if you need to work. The vibe is modern Arizona minimal without being cold or sterile.
The food is mostly pastries from local spots like Baker Wee. Good quality, but if you want a breakfast sandwich you are out of luck. Prices are not cheap but worth it if you care about where your beans come from.
Well Coffee is attached to Copper Hills Church but it operates like a professional coffee shop. Nobody is pushing anything on you except maybe a second latte. Sundays can be busier because of church traffic. The location near West Wing Mountain Preserve trailhead makes it perfect for post-hike coffee.
The West Valley is badly under served by good coffee, and it is exciting to see places like Well Coffee thriving out there. If you are in Peoria, this is your spot.
