Light Heart Coffee's original location opened back in 2022 near Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard. This is where the four friends (Caleb and Moriah Holland, Elliott and Maddi Morris) started everything. The cafe setup became a viral destination through social media.
Look, this location defied every rule about good real estate. Low foot traffic. Tucked away in a corner. None of it mattered because the drinks took off.
The Berry Cobbler launched here. Brown sugar latte or matcha with wildberry puree. It became their most popular drink and you can see why. The Tea Party also originated at this location (Earl Grey with house-made lavender syrup, milk and espresso or matcha). These signatures built Light Heart's reputation.
The space is bright and minimalist. It gets crowded fast. This is perfect for quick hangouts and grabbing a beautifully crafted drink. If you need somewhere to post up for hours, this might not be your spot. The vibe feels intimate in a way the newer locations cannot replicate.
Light Heart sources its beans from Moxie Coffee Co. This is an award winning local roaster that I reviewed on this website. The matcha is sourced directly from Japan. The founders work with a farmer there to choose the blend. The seasonal menu rotates about four times a year.
The Central Scottsdale shop remains the birthplace of everything Light Heart became. If you want to experience where it all started, then you need to come here.
